Core Java, Hibernate, Spring, Web Services, Java Software Engineer/Architect

Tasks and responsibilities

• Develop standards and guidelines for the products
• Rollout and train guidelines to development teams
• Coordinate technical decisions
• Review and approve technical designs
• Manage the consistency, integrity and reliability of the architecture
• Advise senior management on current and future technologies
• You will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer

Key Requirements

• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
• Strong Java Development experience (Spring Framework, Hibernate, JPA, Maven, Web Services, distributed computing).
• Experience developing software infrastructure products.
• Experience on product packaging and delivery
• Servlet container experience: eg Tomcat, JBOSS,
• Excellent OO and design skills.
• Familiar with software that manages huge of data
• Experience contributing to Open Source projects
• Experience with Test Driven Development within a continuous Integration environment (Hudson, Sonar, etc).
• Experience working with virtualization Technologies (Xen, VMware, KVM, Vbox, etc)
• Excellent communication skills (English & Spanish)

Desired requirements

• Familiar with Web technologies like FLEX, AS3
• Experience working in an Agile environment.(Understanding of working in a Scrum team – sprints etc)
• Experience making Java applications to scale horizontaly.
• Experience leading teams of highly skilled engineers.
